Assigned to production, the conveyor belt technician manufatures his orders from A to Z. If you are looking for an exciting job where tasks are varied, here are the challenges ahead :
- Cut and resize belts using exacto or slitters;
- Vulcanize belts (hot or cold vulcanizing);
- Affix various types of mechanical fasteners to the belts;
- Weld extrusions such as v-guides;
- Buff different kinds of surfaces to perform coverings (pulleys, timing belts, clamps, stoppers, etc.);
- Operate a high frequency (HF) welding machine to apply cleats on belts;
- Install belts or repair belts directly to our customers.
As mentioned, the technician may have to travel to our customers to perform all of these tasks. Installations are mainly during standard working hours, but may occasionally be outside the regular schedule (evenings and weekends).
