Description
The Successful Candidate will have:
The ability to work with a variety of stakeholders; e.g. students, parents, administration
Knowledge of the Alberta Education Act and the Alberta Program of Studies
Understanding of local culture and traditions
Strong oral and written communication skills
Willingness to advocate and participate in outdoor activities
Demonstrate healthy living by example
Successful Candidate will possess:
Bachelor of Education Degree from a recognized University, Elementary Generalist
Must possess a valid Alberta Interim Professional Teaching Certificate or Alberta Permanent Professional Teaching Certificate.
Pass a Criminal Record Check, and Vulnerable Sector Check
Knowledge and understanding of leveled literacy programs and shared reading
Knowledge and understanding of how to engage in relationships at the individual, familial, and community levels
Proficient with Google Workspace
Excellent computer skills would be considered an asset
Demonstrate cultural sensitivity
Excellent communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills
Wages to be determined by Teachers Salary Grid
