Summary
Frog Lake Education Authority of Frog Lake First Nations, a Cree community in Northeastern Alberta, runs three schools accredited in the Province of Alberta. We are requiring (1) TEMPORARY High School Teacher for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year at Tustukeeskaws Jr./Sr. High School.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders; e.g., students, parents, administration, elders.
Understanding of First Nations- Cree culture and traditions.
Ability to build a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental needs and interests of students.
Knowledge of Alberta Education Act and the Alberta Curriculum
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and through correct written grammar and usage.
Good classroom management skills, able to maintain a clean and professional classroom environment.
Excellent organizational skills.
Team player who can collaborate with colleagues.
Willingness to advocate and participate in outdoor activities.
Demonstrate healthy living by example.
Strong computer skills and Google Classroom Experience.
Requirements
Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education specialized in the above subjects.
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Provide a clean Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
Knowledge and understanding of how to engage in relationships at the individual, familial and community levels.
Demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
