Overview:

Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the CNC Programmer/Operator is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to manufacture high-quality components. They work closely with engineers, machinists, and quality control teams to optimize machining accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
  • Translate technical drawings and 3D models into CNC machine instructions.
  • Select the most efficient machining operations, tooling, and setup parameters.
  • Install tools, fixtures, and adjust CNC machine settings.
  • Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure part accuracy.
  • Monitor machining processes and troubleshoot issues in real time.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to ensure compliance with industry standards and tolerances.
  • Document machining parameters and suggest improvements to enhance productivity.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or training in machining techniques or CNC programming.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC G-code programming.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and cutting tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC lathes, milling machines, or machining centers.
