Join Our Team as a Line Cook! Are you passionate about cooking and ready to work in a dynamic kitchen environment? The University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus is looking for a dedicated Line Cook to join our team. Here's what you'll do:

• Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to recipes and menu specifications, ensuring high quality and presentation standards.
• Plating and Presentation: Cook and plate dishes to order, ensuring consistency and visual appeal.
• Station Management: Maintain cleanliness and organization of your assigned station, manage inventory, and ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Event Support: Assist in food preparation for special events or large parties and participate in kitchen cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Position Requirements:

• Secondary School Diploma
• Minimum 1 years prior experience, 6 months on the job.
• Chef’s papers/management education.
• WHMIS, Food Handlers Certificate, and First Aid certification.
• Expertise in knife handling and specialized cooking equipment.
