The Media Supervisor is responsible for the plant media production operations as well as the status of sterility and stock levels in the production stream of the plant lab operations.

- Develop specific plans to prioritize
- Organize tasks to accomplish the work
- Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
- Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
- Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
- Maintain quality control and production records
- Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
- Maintain work records and logs
- Hire and train staff
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- In charge of media production team
- Recording and maintaining media inventory

Requested skills

  • Associate’s degree, microbiology focus or related field preferred
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) 
  • Strong documentation skills. Ability to solve problems. 
  • Ability to work well alone and with others at different times. 
  • Ability to issue instructions and teach new techniques.
  • Ability to wear protective equipment where required. 
  • Willingness to be open to learning and growing. 
  • Maturity of judgment and behavior.
