EMERGENCY SECONDARY TEACHERS - QUALIFIED and UNQUALIFIED

Applications are invited from interested community members for Emergency Secondary Teachers - (qualified and unqualified) with the Upper Grand District School Board. Successful applicants will be called for daily occasional teaching opportunities should certified teachers from our Occasional Teacher Roster be unavailable to fill daily absences. Under the direction of the Principal/Vice-Principal, you will supervise and support students in the absence of a regular employee, ensuring a safe and secure environment at all times.

LOCATION(S): Applicants will be able to select the school location(s) and/or geographic areas where they are interested in working

RATE OF PAY: $205.53 per day - Unqualified Rate

$274.04 per day - Qualified Rate (with an Ontario College of Teachers certification)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 18 years of age

Successful completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent is required

Prior experience (paid or volunteer) working with children is a strong asset

Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of student information

Successful external candidates will be required to provide to the People, Leadership and Culture department, an original Vulnerable Sector Check from their local Police/OPP station prior to the commencement of employment. Please note that the Vulnerable Sector Check must be dated no earlier than 6 months prior to the date of acceptance of employment.
