Principal's Qualification Program Part 1

Special Education Part 1
Completion of Special Education for UGDSB Administrators
(Tier 1 is required for internal candidates only)
Recommendations
"Me-As-VP” UGDSB Training for internal candidates (or equivalent leadership development training for external candidates)
OPC Emerging Leader Development Program (2 modules recommended)

Resume
Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers
Most recent Teacher Performance Appraisal (TPA)
List of three Professional References with contact information, including:
Administrator Reference
Two Supervisory References
Preference will be given to candidates with:
extensive designate, leadership and/or system experience who have shown a commitment to aligning their practices with the UGDSBs Multi-Year Plan.
extensive understanding of anti-oppressive education / pedagogy who have demonstrated a strong commitment to equity work including, but not limited to, disrupting systemic inequities/ structures, and explicitly supporting students / communities not from the dominant group.
Before an applicant can be appointed as a Principal, the Board must receive a Criminal Records Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening (dated within the last 6 months).
Incomplete application packages will not be accepted. Candidates with incomplete packages will be asked to re-apply at the next available opportunity.
