Description
Under the supervision of the Controller, the Assistant Controller plays a vital role in the financial management of the company. You will actively participate in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, while collaborating with various departments to support strategic decisions. This position requires strong accounting and management expertise, as well as a high degree of rigour in the application of internal controls. You will also be responsible for payroll, insurance and cash management, while providing financial analysis that will guide management in its business decision-making.

Job responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements;
- Prepare the year-end file for the external auditors;
- Participate in the preparation of the annual budget and variance analysis;
- Prepare various dashboards and financial analyses to support management in its business decision-making;
- Continue to implement strong internal controls;
- Be the resource person for all matters related to group and commercial insurance files and group RRSPs;
- Produce and process payroll (including T4-R1 production);
- Manage cash flow in a multi-currency context;
- Collaborate with the purchasing department for inventory management;
- Participate in the cost analysis;
- Oversee the application of the Customer Credit Policy and collaborate with management and his team.
Competence & Quality
- Autonomous, show initiative and good judgment;
- Rigorous, very organized and professional. The candidate will also have to be able to deal with sometimes very short deadlines;
- Recognized for his interpersonal skills and good communication skills.
- Be a member of the CPA Order and have 3 years of experience;
- Have a very good knowledge of and interest in working in SMEs;
- Fluently bilingual (French, English);
- Excellent knowledge of Excel (very advanced).
