Position Summary:
We are looking for a passionate General Manager to manage our hotels, ensure a quality service offering and maximize operational performance. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, you will oversee teams and develop strategies to improve the guest experience while meeting the standards of the Marriott, Hilton and Urgo Hotels Canada brands.

Details of responsibilities

  1. Operations management:
    • Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of all hotel operations.
    • Regularly inspect the hotel and follow up on needs with supervisors from relevant departments.
    • Ensure the maintenance of buildings with preventive maintenance of the building stock
    • Ensure the level of customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure compliance and standards of banners to achieve audit objectives
  1. Human resources management
    • Communicate effectively and motivate with our teams
    • Set goals, evaluate performance, and motivate teams.
    • Support directors in the day-to-day management of their teams while respecting budget objectives and operational needs
    • Ensure a healthy and pleasant work environment for teams in a unionized workplace.
  1. Management of financial and material resources
    • Prepare and monitor budgets
    • Analyze financial statements and control costs.
    • Negotiate with suppliers and optimize inventory management.
  1. Marketing, Sales & Revenue
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to establish pricing and strategies.
    • Collaborate in the creation of forecasts.
    • Collaborate with the revenue department to optimize pricing strategies.
    • Strengthen the visibility of the establishment.

  1. Relations with Partners and the Community:
    • Multiple Owner in a Business Unit with Individual Unit Owners
    • Ensure a positive presence through a dynamic community that includes several interlocutors (Tremblant Resort Association, Tourisme Mont-Tremblant, Tourisme Laurentides)

Desired profile

  • 5 years of experience in the functions of high-level managers in the hotel industry
  • Human Management Skills
  • Skills in aspects of hotel financial management.
  • Comfortable with computer systems.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), a third language is an asset
  • Training in hotel management or business administration (an asset)
  • Leadership: Management and motivation of diverse teams, conflict resolution.
  • Good communication, good negotiator.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
