Come work as Gastroenterologist/Therapeutic Endoscopist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

As part of the GI service, you will be expected to provide both inpatient and outpatient consultation and procedures for the full range of GI pathology. Specifically, you will be expected to perform ERCP, EUS, luminal stenting and ideally balloon enteroscopy and endoscopic mucosal resection.

Experience with further advanced procedures is valued but not required.

Inpatient call for general gastroenterology is expected, approximately 6 weeks per year.

Teaching of undergrad, postgraduate and advanced endoscopy fellows is an expected and required responsibility.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Mandatory
  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Provisional
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Mandatory
