Come work as a General Adult Psychiatrist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

We are seeking a psychiatrist to work within the North Shore Mental Health Services Program. The successful applicant would work as part of a multidisciplinary clinical treatment team providing direct assessments for patients/clients/families with a focus on general outpatient service.

The psychiatrist works in collaboration with other psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, peer support workers, occupational therapists, social workers, clinical counsellors, clients and their families to provide comprehensive psychosis care and treatment.

Reporting to the Medical Leaders, the psychiatrist will be a part of providing evidence-based treatment interventions and will participate in the training and education of medical students, residents and other allied health professionals. Opportunities for the planning, implementation and evaluation of new programs as well as research projects and group work may exist as well.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Provisional
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Desired
