Culinary Attendant

Location: Grace Village, Sherbrooke, QC
Position Type: Full time and Part-Time (30-40 or 10-30 hours weekly (Flexible Scheduling))
Reports to: Cook on Shift

About the Role:
Grace Village is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Culinary Attendant to support our kitchen and dining services. This role is key in ensuring residents and guests enjoy nutritious meals in a welcoming and clean environment. The Culinary Attendant works closely with kitchen staff to prepare and serve meals and maintain food safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet residents and visitors to create a positive dining atmosphere
• Assemble and serve meals
• Maintain a clean and operational workspace
• Assist with preparing simple food items like sandwiches, soups, and beverages
• Use kitchen tools and equipment
• Help train new staff and support teammates
• Prioritize resident safety and comfort while delivering high-quality service

Key Qualifications:

• Experience in hospitality or institutional food service is an asset
• Experience in a senior living environment is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting and work effectively in a team
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability using commercial kitchen equipment
• Able to communicate in English and French is an asset
