Director of Talent Acquisition

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Vice President, Employee Experience, the Director of Talent Acquisition identifies top talent based on the specific needs of the organization. He or she will be responsible for developing the search strategy, identifying potential candidates, the recruitment process and managing partner and candidate relationships.  You will manage a team of 17 people.

ROLES AND RESPONSABILITIES:

Strategic Planning

  • Actively participate as an integral part of the broader management team, contributing to and supporting Vitalité’s strategic direction;
  • Provide expert advice on emerging recruitment strategies and initiatives;
  • Proactively advise on the role recruitment can play in planning for success, competiveness and staying ahead of the curve;
  • Effectively utilize available internal and external data to gain insights and trends and to improve strategic human capital decisions
  • Work with internal customers to define and confirm core competencies and prepare colleagues for success by matching individuals to positions that are a good fit
  • Collaborate with all levels of management to define recruitment requirements and deliver on requirements using a performance-based model in terms of timelines, volume and core competencies;
  • Design, develop and implement innovative programs and to attract, recruit and retain talent in a competitive labour market;
  • Improve recruitment processes and implement efficiencies
  • Design appropriate and competitive key performance indicators;

Leadership

  • Leads performance-based hiring methodology initiatives to ensure that that all recruiting personnel are qualified and formally trained;
  • Represent the organization with credibility, demonstrate excellence in execution, identify opportunities for continuous improvement and propose creative or unique solutions;
  • Balancing strategic business planning with managing day-to-day operational issues;
  • Provide support, coaching, training and guidance to the recruitment team, ensuring that all staff are aligned with Vitalité's strategy;
  • Mentoring, training and growing your team; providing opportunities for growth, and generate enthusiasm and desire to add value;
  • Build a flexible, remote and sustainable recruitment team that is able to manage the anticipated growth of the organization;
  • Identify, create and maintain work practices that create a positive work environment and are competitive in the industry.

Recruiting

  • Maintain awareness of relevant labour market activities, emerging trends, competitive data and legislation in New Brunswick;
  • Write and publish job postings according to the specific requirements of the profiles on various media and websites;
  • Develop a pool of qualified Canadian and international candidates for current and future needs;
  • Communicate with candidates to gather market intelligence and find potential candidates;
  • Meet and evaluate potential candidates in person or through a visual platform;
  • Receive, sort and analyze applications and validate relevant profiles;
  • Updating the databases daily and ensuring the quality of the information;
  • Prepare and update daily and weekly reports;
  • Perform all other related administrative tasks, including the standardization of CV formats and hiring documents.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess a relevant bachelor's degree in human resources or have significant experience in the experience in the field;
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in talent acquisition and a minimum of 3 years of experience in team leadership;
  • Experience in designing and implementing performance indicators;
  • Extensive experience in the development and implementation of recruitment and sourcing strategies that have been consistently successful in achieving objectives and performance indicators;
  • Lean or Six Sigma training preferred, but not required;
  • Ability to use various computer search tools;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
