Engagement and change management consultant

JOB SUMMARY :

Reporting to the Corporate Director of Engagement for the Communications and Engagement sector, the Engagement and Change Management Consultant will be primarily responsible for creating and implementing engagement and change management plans and strategies for the Network’s major projects.

The consultant will be in charge of facilitating organizational transformation through active collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders and by working closely with all specialists including project managers, organizational performance consultants, physicians, Leadership Team members and executives.

The consultant will work to foster the enhancement of the knowledge and skills of staff and other stakeholders regarding changes that involve them, to support the rapid adoption of improvements and a learning organization culture. This work will require the consultant to provide extensive mentorship and demonstrate leadership skills while developing a personalized approach based on the unique needs of individuals and groups.

The consultant will be called to develop and plan strategic approaches designed to mobilize stakeholders and facilitate their engagement. Based on engaging facilitation approaches, the consultant will be responsible for planning and leading consultation sessions with a view to applying all the assessment tools in engagement and change management. The consultant will be required to analyse the results of these assessments to identify strategic actions in terms of communication, training, guidance, managing resistance, empowerment and leadership.  Therefore, the consultant will play a key role in transforming the organizational culture into a learning culture. The consultant will be required to develop transition plans to address changes that emerge from the Network’s priority projects. The consultant’s coaching will aim to mitigate resistance while increasing the collective capacity in change management.

As a member of the engagement team, the consultant will also provide coaching in engagement and change management to external stakeholders. More specifically, the consultant will be required to personalize the engagement and change management approaches for each community with which Vitalité works closely with other sectors such as Public Health and primary health care services. Finally, the successful candidate will be called to contribute actively to the development of the engagement sector both internally and externally.

All these tasks are performed in collaboration with the communications and engagement team as well as the stakeholders who have a role to play within Vitalité Health Network.  Other related duties may be added for the smooth operation of communications and engagement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Postsecondary degree in social sciences, business or management
  • Combination of training and experience deemed equivalent
  • Prosci certification considered an asset;
  • Minimum of three years’ experience involving increasing responsibilities in consultation, project management and organizational change
  • Keen organizational and communication skills, and demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Results-driven, and analytical reasoning skills
  • Ability to coach and train people and teams
  • Excellent written and oral French skills, and demonstrated writing skills
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment with tight deadlines
  • Recognized skills in multidisciplinary teamwork and interpersonal relations
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
