Environmental Services Worker B (2040)

JOB SUMMARY:

The environmental services worker B is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting facilities to maintain a clean and safe environment for the well-being of patients, employees, physicians, volunteers and visitors. Part of a dynamic and essential team, the environmental services worker is able to set priorities for their duties to meet deadlines, to manage several tasks and to make decisions under pressure in a changing work environment as per operational needs. In addition to cleaning and disinfection, work includes (without being limited to) organization, replenishment, waste management and new employee orientation. The work may be performed in clinical settings, such as operating rooms, or in non-clinical settings, such as administrative offices. REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); applicants who do not have Grade 12 or the equivalent may be considered under certain conditions;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network’s management philosophy, and organizational values;
• Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
