The Opportunity
Tundra has an opening for an Inside Technical Sales, Measurement & Analytical role, based in Edmonton or Calgary, AB. The successful candidate will be a technical applications professional who reflects their corporate commitment to being responsive to our customers’ unique needs. The successful individual will have a track record of analyzer inside sales and a solid reputation for building long term relationships. They thrive in an environment that is client-focused and is skillful at maintaining a high degree of contact customers through the order cycle.
The Role
- Displays the type of personality that can easily and clearly communicate a polite persona over the phone.
- Is motivated by providing custom solutions to meet customer needs and works eagerly to attain the maximum potential in each and every customer interaction.
- Builds knowledge base through taking personal initiative and has the aptitude to be able to clearly communicate the technical solution to the customer.
- Displays an outgoing personality and easily initiates conversations with clients.
- Is comfortable with preparing and presenting technical sales presentations to new and existing clients.
- Can liaise with manufacturing to ensure the customer needs are being met.
- Shows the ability to adapt and can think on their feet while overcoming customer objections or sourcing out the best solution for a technical requirement.
- Displays an assertive but collaborative approach to sales.
- Receives client orders for products and accurately communicates orders to the appropriate departments.
- Communicates with cross functional departments to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
The Candidate
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in Inside Sales in a technical role focused on Field Instrumentation including Pressure, Temperature, Flow, and Level Products.
- Ability to size, select and supply equipment to support all Pressure, Temperature, Flow, and Level Product requirements.
- Technical Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution required. (Instrumentation)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are mandatory in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
- Experience working with an ERP would be an asset.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
