The Opportunity

Accountable/responsible for leading, directing and mentoring Branch employees in the achievement of the strategic and operational vision set by Wajax. Manages branch operations to achieve company targets and to ensure branch activities support a safe and productive atmosphere.

The Role

  • Communicate with key stakeholders and the ERS Leadership team, the optimal service scenarios to adopt in order to meet profitability objectives and commitments;
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings in order to be informed of future projects;
  • Communicate and implement strategies to minimize the impact on services (vacations, vacations, absences, overtime, lack of work, etc....);
  • Ensure daily that the level of loadable and non-loadable hours is in line with the annual objectives established in the budget;
  • Follow the daily financial report in order to remain in line with the annual budget;
  • Monitor and control the workshop expense budget in order to meet the results expected when the annual budget is established;
  • Help prioritize the various projects to achieve the best monthly return;
  • Prepares disciplinary meetings, when required, and refers problem cases to the HRBP:
  • Carries out performance appraisals and salary reviews for all employees;
  • Participates in job interviews and selects the appropriate candidate in collaboration with the foreman of the department concerned;
  • Ensures that programs, strategies, policies and procedures are implemented as prescribed by unit management;
  • Prepare and administer annual budgets and monthly updates
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement and promote best practices
  • Ensure that the overall people/staffing plan for the operation/branch reflects high performance, bench and succession planning, consistent mentoring, and employee development
  • Manage branch personnel performance, safety, training and customer service
  • Work with customers, suppliers, and co-workers to fulfill orders and inquiries within parts and cost expectations
  • Meet with Managers and Supervisors to design, implement effective & efficient work plans

The Candidate

Education: University / College Degree or Diploma and relative leadership experience

Work Experience: 4-6 years related work experience in a leadership role

Knowledge: experience working with budgets, analyzing reports and developing targets
