Human Resources Assistant (E) Human Resource Services Department, Employee Wellness Education Centre Applicants will be considered in the following order:1) Qualified permanent ESS/OSSTF Bargaining Unit employees.2) Qualified probationary, temporary and Temporary Hourly Rated (THR) ESS/OSSTF employees.3) Qualified external applicants (includes employees from other Bargaining Units) Reporting to the Manager Employee Wellness, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the activities of the Employee Wellness department and its day-to-day operation. The successful candidate for this Educational Support Staff position, Level E ($52,549- $63,944), will work 35 hours per week, 12 months per year, effective as soon as possible. Hours of Work: TBD Responsibilities Responsible for the daily routine of processing, monitoring, and updating Employee records using various software programs; includes data entry and report generating. Ensuring Employee records are set up in IPPS while on medical leave of absence. WSIB Claims Administration including completion of appropriate forms, set up of claims, communication with Supervisor and third-party providers as required. Responsible for processing of applicable OMERS pension documents for eligible employee groups. Responsible for OTIP reporting, PAS, Part time reporting forms, and completion of insurance forms. Responsible for the budget process in the software system including creating requisitions and payment of invoices. Responsible for generating various ad hoc reports for Human Resource Services and payroll staff as requested. Responsible for cross referencing employee absence data between the various Human Resources Systems to ensure accuracy. Responsible for running absence reports and follow up with employees as well as responding to absence record concerns from employees, staff, and the Human Resource Services team. Assist with clerical duties including electronic filing, faxing, answering the phone and email inquiries. Interact in a positive and professional manner with clientele at all levels of the organization; and Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Employee Wellness or designate. Qualifications A Secondary School Graduation Diploma is required; Preference will be given to candidates with current related work experience or post-secondary education in Disability Management, Human Resources or Health Science field; Computer knowledge and/or experience to include, but not be limited to: IPPS (or equivalent), Park Lane, EasyConnect, Laserfiche, Application Server, e-base, Microsoft Office and Google Suite is required; Knowledge of OMERS, K212 and WSIB an asset; Must be able to multitask, prioritize, manage a high volume of workload, have a strong understanding of basic math, and be able to problem solve basic functions related to the role; Must demonstrate problem solving, analytical thinking and proven commitment to customer service; Accurate database entry experience along with an understanding of, and experience in, maintaining the integrity of a large database; Ability to complete assigned duties with minimal supervision and to communicate effectively in both oral and written form; Proven ability to troubleshoot employee concerns effectively; Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy; Ability to work collaboratively as a member of the Employee Wellness team and work independently.
