SECRETARY (C) John Mahood P.S. Educational Services Applicants will be considered in the following order: 1) Qualified permanent ESS/OSSTF Bargaining Unit employees. 2) Qualified probationary, temporary and Temporary Hourly Rated (THR) ESS/OSSTF employees. 3) Qualified external applicants (includes employees from other Bargaining Units) Reporting to the Principal, through the Head Secretary, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the activities of the administrative staff in the day-to-day operation of the school. The successful applicant for this Educational Support Staff position Level C, will work 5 hours per week, 10 months per year, effective as soon as possible. Hours of Work: TBD Responsibilities · Support the vision, philosophy and procedures of the school; · Maintain good public relations by interacting positively and professionally with students, staff and parents in a successful and confident manner; · Telephone and reception duties; · Maintain and update the Aspen student information system; · Provide assistance to students and staff as required; and · Perform other duties as required (Such as, but not limited to: Attendance, budget, newsletter, report cards, ordering of supplies, video/kit requests, mail distribution). Qualifications · Ability to work collaboratively as a member of the administrative team of the school; · A Secondary School Graduation Diploma is required; · Experience in using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint in a Windows computer environment is required; · Experience with K212 and G-Suite is required; · Experience using the Aspen Student Information System and applying this knowledge to record keeping and maintaining data integrity is required; · Experience and knowledge of Google Docs and School-Day would be an asset; · Excellent interpersonal skills with students, teachers and the public; · Excellent organizational and time management skills; · Ability to complete assigned duties with minimal supervision; · Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form; · Knowledge and ability to assist managing School Budget; and · Experience with new report cards on the web would be an asset.
