Benefits

Who we are:

WeighPack has become a leader in developing and manufacturing Packaging Machinery solutions worldwide alongside our partner companies in the US, Italy, and China. Our diverse and multi-disciplined team of professionals are fun and exciting to work with as our general population are skilled labor committed to growth. We are a transparent work environment that is driven by Passion, Collaboration and Excellence. We understand that our employees’ time and commitment are extremely valuable, so we strive to give back to our team.

About the position:

Your primary responsibility is to travel and commission our packaging solutions at end user sites. To achieve this, you’ll need to be a very strong electro-mechanic with a passion for teaching. It’s critical that you are able to transfer knowledge to the client operators, mechanics and production personnel. To maximize your success, you’ll actively participate in the engineering process while directly contributing to assembly and management of the testing/check-out cycle.

Our packaging solutions are robust and well documented, however, you’ll need to be a creative problem solver as optimizing applications on the equipment, environmental restrictions and people taking ownership are often the most common challenges to ensuring success.

The position only requires on average 1 week of travel a month as we will only expect you to travel when you’ve checked out your own solution which typically takes a few weeks to produce.

Furthermore, we consider this role a leadership position where you will supervise both internal employees and external clients to align everyone around you to ensure collective success.

Outcomes of this role:

  • Hands on participation in the design and manufacturing of packaging solutions.
  • Exciting problem-solving role for passionate leaders in automation.
  • Opportunity to travel throughout North America (and sometime internationally) to represent the company, yourself and install amazing solutions.
  • Directly interface with clients and sales while directly contributing to the growth and success of the company.
  • Learn tons about the Packaging Industry including but not limited to: bagging, filling, labelling, printing, capping, inspection, frozen foods, produce, cannabis, regulations, etc. It’s an endless environment of learning.

Other things we look for:

  • DEC in industrial automation, electro-mechanics, or a relevant field.
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment in technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills to write reports and train people.
  • Ability to travel throughout North America.

Languages required

  • Bilingual in English and French
