Please see the job opportunities page on our website for more details.Job Posting: 24-222 Temporary 100% Behaviour Analyst (formerly BCBA) 12 Month (This position works in accordance with the school calendar and does not work over the months of July & August) Location: Itinerant Start Date: February 2025 (exact date TBD) End Date: TBD (approx. 1 year) Salary: $74, 544 - $97,975 per annum 34.5 hours per week (Between the hours of Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) The Behaviour Analyst will provide support and professional development to school staff, paraprofessionals, and parents/guardians with respect to ABA based behaviour support techniques, functional behaviour assessments, and behaviour support plans specifically for but not limited to students who have ASD. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: The following identifies the primary and essential functions of the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties. As a member of Student Support Services team, provide behavioural analysis, programming, implementation support, staff training, and monitor the Behaviour Support Plans and Safety Plans of students with ASD or Developmental Disabilities who present with aggressive or unsafe behaviour. Provide job-embedded professional development to school staff in the use of applied behaviour analysis strategies, functional behavioural assessments, and behaviour support plan development and implementation in the classroom. Support and coach school teams in the development Behaviour Support Plans for the purpose of providing a safe and effective educational environment for students with Developmental Disabilities, ASD, or other disabilities that present highly challenging behaviours. Consult to the Multi-Disciplinary Assessment team and school-based teams to provide programming recommendations for students with significant behavioural needs. Support deeper implementation of Policy/Program Memorandum (PPM) No. 140, Incorporating Methods of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) into Programs for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The BCBA works to strengthen and facilitate collaborative working relationships and problem solving among schools, parents and community partners. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. This position requires travel to schools within the board, and therefore the successful candidate must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification or eligible to write the exam. Verified Course Sequence and collecting supervised experience hours from a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). Minimum of a Master's degree in one of the following fields of study: Psychology, Behavioural Analysis or Education. Completed graduate training in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Completed practical experience in the implementation of ABA supervised by a Clinician for a minimum of two years. Strong expertise working with and knowledge surrounding school aged children and young adults with ASD. Experience in providing consultation and staff training. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Computer competency. Wellington Catholic District School Board requires all candidates to apply through Apply to Education.
