Under the direction and supervision of the Business and Finance Lead, the Accountant is responsible for the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely financial and statistical reports pertaining to the Centre’s operations, in accordance with Manitoba Health and WRHA policies and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Minimum of two (2) years accounting experience.
- Experience in health care would be an asset.
- Grade XII graduate, Manitoba standards.
- Graduate from a post-secondary institution, with a major in accounting.
- Currently enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program at an advanced level.

- Demonstrated knowledge and ability of computerized financial management applications.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications including Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Proficiency in SAP, Great Plains and ORMED would be an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and use of the Internet.
- Knowledge of relevant Workplace Safety and Health responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Well-developed analytical skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and to deal effectively and courteously with external agencies and the general public.
- Ability to express ideas and thoughts in English both verbally and in written format selecting appropriate communication methods for the situation.
- Exhibits good listening and comprehension abilities.
- Ability to organize workload and set priorities.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
