Job Summary:
Reporting to the Resource Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for entering patient lab results/health information into our electronic health record, ensuring the information is entered accurately, timely and verified. Scanning of documents may also be required. Maintains patient confidentiality / privacy at all times according to CCMB policy.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Applicant must be a high school graduate (Grade XII) or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-year experience working as a Data Entry Clerk (entering Lab Results)
- Must demonstrate attention to detail, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and enjoy working in a team environment
- Must hold a satisfactory employment record
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
- Typing speed - minimum 10,000 keystrokes per hour, or 40 wpm with less than 1% error rate
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Programs and electronic medical records
- Knowledge in medical terminology
- Experience volunteering or working in a healthcare environment
Asset:
- Working experience with MAXON/ARIA
- Keyboarding of 45 wpm
- Proficiency in terminal digit order
- Ability to speak French
