Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Summary:

Come join a dynamic group of physicians in the rural community of Ste. Anne, located just 30 kilometers/ a 20-minute drive from the East perimeter.

Our clinic and hospital are located side by side in the heart of Ste. Anne, along the Seine River. We are looking for multiple providers to join our site.

Ste. Anne is a francophone community that is fast growing and attracting families of all ages and backgrounds.

As such, we are looking to expand our team of family physicians.

Remuneration is on a fee for service basis and includes an extra 5% for rural coverage. A wide variety of practice opportunities is available at our site including part time and full-time work: family practice, emergency room coverage, hospitalist, obstetrics, long term care and surgical assistance is available to suit different tastes.

We are also part of the U of M bilingual family medicine residency program and host medical students and residents both in the clinic and the hospital.

Proficiency in French is required as the hospital and practice serve a francophone community.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency of both official languages is essential (English/French)
  • Must be eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
  • To provide emergency coverage at any acute care centre that provides obstetrical services in the region you must have current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification
  • Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums
  • Good work and attendance record

Conditions of Employment:

  • Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
  • All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud policy.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
