Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Manager Health Services or delegate, the incumbent is responsible for performing phlebotomy on ward rounds (including Children’s Hospital) and all functions and processes associated with the blood specimen collection and dispatch.

Experience
  • One year of recent experience as a phlebotomist is required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards (science courses preferred).
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Certification in phlebotomy required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
