Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, the Resource Coordinator is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Information Management Records Department (MacCharles and St. Boniface unit - all shifts). This includes supervision of staff, providing direction, scheduling, payroll, assignment of work, monitoring and evaluating work practices, attendance and performance management, workload, problem resolution, performance metrics to maximize efficiencies and quality initiatives. The Resource Coordinator will also assist with projects and may be required to assist with research and privacy related matters to ensure patient confidentiality, security and the protection of our patient’s personal health information.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Graduate of a post-secondary certificate or Diploma in Health Services Management, Human Resources Management, or Volunteer Management Program. Equivalent education and experience may be considered as determined by CancerCare Manitoba.
- Minimum of two years providing leadership to a department
- Minimum of three years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of patient registration system and health record functions
- Previous experience in scheduling staff and work assignments
- Strong computer skills, including experience with database operation and proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Must hold a satisfactory employment record
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
