Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

As a member of the Manitoba Renal Program Team, the Dialysis Electronic Technologist is responsible for the technical aspects of patient care in the Dialysis program. The major responsibility is ensuring that all complex medical devices used within the program, and quality control of all technical aspects of different dialysis modalities, are maintained at a high degree of efficiency to ensure effective, safe dialysis of the patient.

Experience
  • Dialysis experience preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required, including mathematics, chemistry and physics.
  • Graduation from a recognized two-year Electronic Engineering Technology Program required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Must have a valid Manitoba driver's license.
  • Must be a C.E.T. or be eligible for certification with CTTAM.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of plumbing, hydraulics, and electronic installations.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, required.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Physical Requirements
  • Manual dexterity required.
