CREE LANGUAGE REVITALIZATION CLASSROOM
FULL-TIME 100%TERM
Isaac Brock School is seeking a passionate and skilled Early Years educator with expertise in early childhood pedagogy to join our groundbreaking Ininimowin (Cree) Language Revitalization Program. This role combines the opportunity to contribute to the preservation of Indigenous languages with the delivery of high-quality early years teaching for students in a multi-age grade 1-3 classroom.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in teaching the core components of the Manitoba curriculum, focusing on English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, and foundational literacy and numeracy skills. They will work collaboratively with a Cree Language Keeper and a Nature-based Learning Teacher to support students in becoming strong ininimowin Language learners and speakers.
This position emphasizes the importance of robust early years pedagogy to ensure a strong foundation for all students while supporting the preservation and revitalization of ininimowin. Candidates are not required to be fluent in ininimowin but must be committed to learning and practicing the language alongside their students using best practices in early years education.

Qualifications:
Manitoba Teachers’ Certificate;
