Speech-Language Pathologists

Clinical Support Services, Winnipeg School Division, provides a wide range of multidisciplinary services that help meet the educational, social, emotional and communication needs of students while working collaboratively with schools and families.



Under the leadership and supervision of the Director of Clinical Support Services and Area Service Directors, the

SpeechLanguage Pathologist will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the Clinical Support Services Department of the Winnipeg School Division. The SpeechLanguage Pathologist will work collaboratively with school and programbased teams to support and promote student learning. The SpeechLanguage Pathologist will provide services to students who have a wide range of communication disorders, including students with complex communication needs and students requiring Augmentative and Alternative communication (AAC). This will include assessment, programming and therapeutic interventions, and consultative services within a 3tiered service delivery model in the Winnipeg School Division.



Qualifications:

  • Must be registered, or be eligible for registration, with the College of Audiologists and SpeechLanguage Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM)
  • Must have Master's Degree in in SpeechLanguage Pathology
  • Must be in possession of a current School Clinician Certificate (SpeechLanguage Pathology) (Those eligible for a School Clinician Certificate will also be considered, only for a Term position to start, as outlined in the certification requirements by Manitoba Education).
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative manner with school personnel and parents
  • Strong technology skills in order to complete all online recording and reporting requirements
  • Vehicle is required
