We are currently looking for an assembler to fill a full-time permanent position on the day shift. We offer flexible hours and the possibility of working over 4 and a half days.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WHEN JOINING THE TEAM

Under the supervision of the Assembly Foreman, assemble and test various components and machines according to plans, instructions, drawings, procedures and standards in place for semi automatic machines.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble components and machines according to standards and procedures established, technical and quality specifications, following plans, designs and instructions given by immediate superior
  • Wiring as necessary on special orders
  • Drill holes in order to wire panels and machines
  • Test final assembly using check list
  • Di-electrical tests (CSA 2200V) on all machines
  • Can make connections varying between 24V and 600V
  • Use forklift and overhead crane to move heavy items
  • Clean work station and put away tools and instruments used
  • Is aware and careful of safety of self and others
  • Can be asked to train new employees
  • Contributes to the collective efforts of the department.

COMPETENCE PROFILE

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to read assembly plans (asset)
  • Knowledge of safety regulations
  • Knowledege of tools 
  • Have taken forklift and overhead crane courses (asset)
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 kg
  • Good physical condition to be able to move about easily, kneel, stand for long periods of time
  • Punctual and regular attendance
