The successful candidates for these positions will have experience delivering psychological services in an educational setting with children and youth and will be able to provide psychological assessment, consultation, and programming services.

Psychological services support within Student Services
The position will focus mainly on providing psychological consultation and programming support, as well as building the capacity of other Board staff in the areas of developmental disorders, behavioral and mental health issues. Overall, we are looking for an individual with strong assessment, consultation and intervention skills who has demonstrated leadership to support capacity building of other professional staff, and the ability to work effectively on a multidisciplinary team.
The individual filling this position will also have the opportunity to develop and strengthen assessment, consultation and direct intervention skills in the area of ASD, ABA, and mental health.
Major Responsibilities:
Responding to referrals from school staff pertaining to students encountering challenges in learning or behavioral domains.
Conducting Psychological Assessments, interpreting results and writing comprehensive reports.
Consulting with teachers and other school staff, as well as student and parents.
Liaising with community agencies.
Brief counseling of students and parents.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, or documentation of eligibility for registration is required.
Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting.
Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
Ability to work collaboratively with others.
A valid driver’s license and access to own transportation are also a necessity for the position.

Important Information for CUPE 1734 Members:
As per the Collective Agreement (A.11.7 and A.11.8), those twelve month employees filling vacancies as a result of a job posting are to remain twelve months at their positions.
Ten month employees are to remain in their position until the end of the school year.
