As a Lead Auditor this position reports directly to the Auditing Supervisor and indirectly to the Quality Director and Quality Manager, Nuclear.

What You'll Do Here

  • Perform internal quality program audits of Aecons manufacturing facility and various nuclear project sites, in accordance with applicable quality program manuals, procedures, work instructions and specific Project Quality Plans
  • Perform external surveys and/or audits of suppliers in accordance with applicable quality program manuals, procedures and work instructions for approval to Aecons Approved Supplier List.
  • For both internal and external surveys or audits the Lead Auditor prepares and distributes internal and supplier audit plans, audit checklists and audit reports as applicable.
  • For internal audits the Lead Auditor contacts the appropriate Aecon Management personnel and provides the Audit Plan.
  • At the conclusion of the internal audit provides the Audit Report including Recommendations, Observations, Findings to the applicable Aecon Management. With all Audit Findings being reported to the Quality Director.
  • For external surveys or audits the Lead Audit contacts the supplier directly and provides the Audit Plan.
  • At the conclusion of the external audit provides the Audit Report including Recommendations, Observations, Findings and Restrictions as applicable to the suppliers management. With all Audit Findings being reported to the Auditing Supervisor.
  • For external audits provides a completed audit package (Audit Plan, Completed Audit Checklist, and Audit Report including Recommendations, Observations, Findings and Restrictions) to the Audit Supervisor
  • Lead, coordinate and supervise the audit team in their assigned duties within the scope of the survey or audit

What You Bring To The Team

  • Graduate of a secondary school, as a minimum
  • Education in an engineering discipline at the College or University level
  • Lead Auditor Certification from an accredited training Registrar Nuclear Lead Auditor Certification c/w work history would be an asset
  • Minimum of three years experience as an Internal Quality Auditor and one year as a Lead Quality Auditor
  • Minimum of five years experience in nuclear and/or non-nuclear fabrication/construction industry in a quality assurance/quality control role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good leadership and organizational skills
  • Computer literate in MS Office
  • ASME Section III BP&V Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Construction Codes knowledge including related CSA B51, N285, N286 and N299 Standards knowledge
