Description
This position supports registration desk primarily in the Family Medicine Clinic but can support within the Neurosciences, ENT clinic, Family Medicine and Senior’s clinic portfolio and the wider KEC site. Duties include, but are not limited to, booking patients appointments, answering phones, confirming appointments, clerical duties, room booking allocations and payroll. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. This position will be part of Primary Care Alberta effective November 18, 2024. As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Completion of a Unit Clerk, Medical Office Assistant Program or Medical Terminology. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population. Ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. Must be able to multitask in a busy and fast paced environment. Ability to lift, move, push and pull office equipment and supplies. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to walk distances up to 20 minutes at a time. Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) is required.
Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting. Experience with connect care in ambulatory environment
