Description
Based on location availability, the successful applicant may have the option to work from either our Ponoka or Red Deer office. Reporting to the Manager, Youth Virtual Opioid Dependency Program, the Administrative Support III, will work in collaboration with a wide variety of healthcare professionals. The Admin III is responsible for registration and appointment booking functions, operating the switchboard, maintaining health records, and processing electronic visit documentation. The position can also support Case Managers and Physicians with the continued care of clients from pre-admission to discharge. This position also provides program information to clients and collaborates with community pharmacies and urine collection sites. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate electronic client records relating to scheduling of urine testing, pharmacy transcription and engaging in client care discussions with the treatment team. The incumbent must be able to exercise good judgement and initiative in completing tasks and be able to work with a high degree of independence, accuracy and accountability. To be successful in this position you must have exceptional communication skills, verbal and written and the ability to work as part of a team. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in a multidisciplinary health care administrative area. Advanced computer skills with demonstrated recent use and/or training in Microsoft Office (word & excel) and Outlook. Proficient typing skills with 40-50 WPM+. Excellent communication skills - written and oral. Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Outlook. Experience working with Meditech, Netcare and Connect Care.
