We are seeking an Administrative Support III (AS III) for the Medicine Hat ODP Narcotics Transition Program. The ASIII is responsible welcoming, greeting, and registering clients of the program in person and over the telephone. The ASIII is responsible for managing program referrals and booking clients for service. The ASIII is responsible for the management of program files including short- and long-term storage. The ASIII is responsible for the ordering of program supplies. The ASIII works collaboratively with other members of the team, other Addiction and Mental Health programs, other Recovery Alberta programs, and other non-AHS programs to create connections and support ongoing care of clients. The ASIII is a key point of contact for community members and prospective clients of the service. The ASIII is supervised by the Assistant Head Nurse of the program, and reports to the Program Manager. The ASIII has a working understanding of addiction and mental health programming, strong collaborative skills, and the ability to liaise with other internal, allied, contracted, and community stakeholders. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Completion of Unit Clerk, Medical Office Assistant, or other related post-secondary education. Recent (within the last 2 years) experience with electronic health record utilization and referral management. Experience working as an administrative support within a community mental health and addiction clinic. Must be able to exercise professionalism, judgment, tact, diplomacy and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential issues.

Experience with staff and patient scheduling. Experience working with vulnerable populations. Experience with using Connect Care.
