Description
This position is responsible for data manipulation, database building and data management support for the clinical databases within Community Health Services. This position requires extensive knowledge of clinical information systems (ie. Connect Care) and Public Health policies and procedures. The AS IV works as a part of the data management team across the Edmonton Zone and Province to assist with data remediation, data cleansing, testing and maintenance of electronic medical records. The candidate must have the ability multitask, work efficiently and competently while demonstrating exceptional organizational and decision making skills. Must be flexible with a high level of discretion and confidentiality with electronic and paper information. They are responsible for performing daily submissions to Alberta Health. They are responsible to proficiently respond to the need to manipulate data daily to meet data integrity requirements to ultimately ensure the quality/accuracy of client information. They are an expert of Public Health Clinical Information Systems Connect Care and with Records Management Processes. There is a high degree of involvement in providing training to Program and Operational Managers, front line Nurses and Administrative Support staff. The candidate will prepare presentations and comprehensive resources. Key responsibilities in Connect Care and provides training and support to data administrative support staff. Completes electronic audits to ensure data accuracy in the hiring of Administrative Support staff. Daily work activities are diverse/varied and involves effective communication and collaboration with team members to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Some post-secondary education.
This position requires extensive experience with Connect Care as well as familiarity with the Public Health Programs offered at Edmonton Zone Public Health Centers. A minimum of 4 years’ experience within Community Health Services is required. Experience with Public Health Immunizations. Experience with Records Management Processes Extensive experience with Connect Care Advanced computer skills including proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) are required. Proficiency with Virtual Platforms (MS Teams) is required Facilitation experience is required Excellent written/oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong task analysis and exemplary program-solving skills are required. Able to maintain confidentiality at all times. Professionalism and data integrity knowledge required. Must be able to physically able to sit, stand and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to physically lift up to 30lbs. Must be able to perform repetitive motions on a keyboard for long periods of time. Note: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a two part computer based skills assessment test. Only those who successfully pass the skills assessment test with a passing mark of 80% on each part will be contacted for an interview.
Connect Care Super User. Experience in MS Access, Crystal Reports, e-Clinician, Telestaff would be an asset. Experience with data remediation preferred. Must be able to work well in a team as well as be self-directed to work independently. Able to manage multiple activities, prioritize and manage frequent interruptions. Able to provide accurate, reliable and valid data from the clinical database.
