Alberta Health Services (AHS) has an opportunity for you in the brand new, state-of-the-art Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre to make a difference to patients and families at various stages in their cancer journey. As the Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will operate in one or more of the specialized, highly technical environments of Nuclear Medicine. Working with a high level of independence, you will assess patients, analyze, and interpret diagnostic data, and provide information to the Radiologist to assist in diagnosis, clinical intervention, and patient management. Our dynamic, fast-paced Diagnostic Imaging team provides efficient and safe services across all shifts and on-call as required. This position will also be required to rotate through Foothills Medical Centre. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology. As a NMT I, you will perform Nuclear Medicine procedures as described in the department procedure manual using a wide range of equipment such as gamma cameras, computers, ECG monitors, cardiac stress equipment, and radiation safety devices.

Completion of diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).

Nuclear Medicine Technologists - Lasix certification as required. ACMDTT Enhanced practice authorization for PET/CTSPECT/CT. ACMDTT Enhanced practice authorization for Contrast Media Injections. N95 fitting.

A minimum of 2 years Nuclear Medicine/PET experience. Connect Care Training preferred.
