Social Worker II

This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker specialized in working with Children, Youth and Families who are experiencing complex medical issues. The Social Worker will be a part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team and will provide direct services and system navigation to partners in an outpatient setting. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families. Your services may include: psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

As Required.

Experience with pediatrics considered an asset.
