Are you licensed in commercial insurance and seeking an opportunity to take the next step in your career? Aon is looking for a bilingual account manager to join their growing team.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work virtually and/or from our Montreal office.

What the day will look like
  • Develop knowledge of client operations and risk exposures.
  • Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls for new and existing business and provide ongoing service support to clients
  • Respond to client and advisor inquiries either by telephone or by email
  • Receive and process client requests and review documentation for routine policy changes, additions, deletions, renewals or cancellations within service level standards.
  • Where required, manage the renewal process, including preparing the renewal documents, presenting to the client for approval, obtaining the binding order, reviewing policy documentation and delivering to the client on time.
  • Provide direction when a claim is reported or inquired upon
  • Cross-sell and expand the existing insurance programs with our clients; develop and manage client relationships to increase penetration sales and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Follow up for renewal information with advisors and clients
  • Review application information and refer to Insurers where appropriate
  • Ensure understanding of all Aon Facilities, including wordings, endorsements, limits, etc.
  • Enter client and insurer information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Create daily/monthly premium invoicing where required
  • Bring up, as required, complex/difficult customer complaints or inquiries to the appropriate team leader
How this opportunity is different

This position offers plenty of learning opportunities for inspired candidates. As an Account Manager, you will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • French / English bilingualism is preferred due to the frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally.
  • AMF Damage Insurance or equivalent insurance license.
  • 1-3 years of insurance experience
  • CIP, FCIP & CRM desirable
  • General Knowledge of all areas of general insurance coverage
  • General Knowledge of Professional lines is an asset
  • Customer service, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical, mathematical, decision making and negotiating skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Committed team player
