Stratford District Secondary School
The Avon Maitland District School Board is inviting applications a full-time 1.0 FTE Secondary Teacher for French Immersion, Grades 9 to 12 at Stratford District Secondary School in Stratford Ontario, effective September 1, 2024.
The Avon Maitland District School Board is a full-service, public, English school district in southwestern Ontario, bordering Lake Huron and covering the counties of Huron and Perth. Nestled in the heart of Southwest Ontario, Huron and Perth Counties include rural farmland and backcountry roads along with areas of historic architecture, arts, culture, and the newest culinary trends.
In the geographical center of this thriving region is Avon Maitland’s Education Centre in Seaforth. The Board’s Administrative Offices are located here, and they contain the central support for 31 elementary and 8 secondary schools, approximately 1600 teachers and 900 support staff. Applicants must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
Required Qualifications
Must hold the required divisional qualifications, as noted above, to be eligible for this position;
Membership with the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing;
Demonstrated experience in the assigned duties of a teacher as outlined in Regulation 298: Operation of Schools;
Proven ability to maintain discipline in the classroom (classroom management);
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment;
Experience working with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) products;
