Job Summary

The Team
The People Strategies Branch is a great place to work, known to be supportive and service oriented! This established team of approximately 40 professionals, located across the province, provides people-focused services to executive, leadership and staff, in the areas of: Strategic Human Resources (HR), Corporate Communications, Inclusion, Diversity and Cultural Safety, and Workforce Intelligence and Research. Leading the ministry's People Plan, with a commitment to supporting and developing our people, the team fosters a positive workplace culture.

The Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to join a high-performing, people-focused team as you provide administrative, financial, and HR support to the branch and assist the Executive Director with day-to-day operations. You’ll deliver excellent client service to ministry staff, helping them navigate inquiries and access support. This position is ideal for someone passionate about starting a career in HR/people services, with the chance to grow and thrive in a supportive environment known for its innovation and commitment to developing people.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience providing customer/client service
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Preference may be given to applicants with experience in the following:

  • Experience providing administrative support in an office setting
  • Experience providing human resource administrative supports
  • Experience providing financial administrative supports

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
