Your Opportunity
BDO Canada is looking for a Project Specialist to join the Tax team and own the following responsibilities:
Act as a primary contact for clients on project matters, ensuring effective communication, timely updates, and a seamless experience throughout each engagement.
Oversee and manage the lifecycle of tax-related projects from initiation through completion, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to meet deadlines and achieve deliverables.
Collaborate with the tax team to provide tailored support to clients, ensuring high standards of service quality, accuracy, and responsiveness.
Liaise with various teams within the firm, ensuring that each project has the resources and support needed to meet client needs and comply with regulatory requirements.
Identify areas for improvement in the project management workflow, assisting the team in implementing more efficient practices and tools.
Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and track key milestones to keep all stakeholders informed on progress.
Address client queries and project challenges proactively, working closely with tax professionals to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Support the tax team in identifying and mitigating potential risks within client engagements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Your experience and education
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
2+ years of experience in project management within a client-facing role in a professional services or accounting environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and convey complex information effectively.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Workday.
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Understanding of tax services is a strong asset.
