Professional Intern - Operations Analyst - Birchwood
Full-Time Summer Internship Position
Start Date: April/May (Flexible), End Date: End of August
Closing Date: April 15th, 2025
Birchwood has an immediate opportunity for an Operations Analyst Intern to assist in professional duties related to the review, assessment, and development of business processes.
Professional Interns have been an integral part of Birchwood for over 25 years. The Professional Intern Program has evolved to include an immersive experience that focuses on personal and professional development. Our program is designed to create a network of empowered students who gain valuable skills while supporting Birchwood’s purpose. Our internship program features professional development workshops, exclusive social events, and opportunities to network with our executive team.

What You Will Do:
• Review and process map current appointment scheduling process and identify constraints.
• Review and assess current training processes, identify areas of opportunity.
• Create a Process Training Manual for new users
• Create recommendations and work with leadership team for implementation
Qualifications:
Knowledge & Experience
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student with an accredited university or college
• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain/Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or Accounting is considered an asset
• Proficiency working with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other applications
• Interest in pursuing a career in business/data analysis or operations management
• Strong skills and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly, identify trends and recommend solutions to solve them independently promptly
• Knowledge of dealership and body shop operations is considered an asset
• Knowledge of Lean Principles is considered an asset
Personal Attributes
• High attention to detail, and proven time management skills.
• Exceptional communication skills (in person, on the phone, and written) & ability to thrive in a collaborative environment as you will be working directly with leadership teams
• Proven ability to apply critical thinking in all problem-solving situations
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and own transportation to/from work is required
