INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION
CONTINUING AND ADULT EDUCATION NIGHT SCHOOL TEACHER
MAP4C/MEL3E/4E/MBF3C
Dates: December 2, 2024 to February 24, 2025
Location: Virtual
Supervisor : Kim Harbinson, Learning Services Administrator
Salary: Continuing Education Hourly Rate
Duties and Responsibilities:
Six hours of online instruction Monday and Wednesday, and three hours of facilitation weekly;
Implement effective student assessment practices (e.g., descriptive feedback) within the virtual learning environment;
Enhanced curriculum-based content to integrate differentiated instructional strategies designed to improve student; engagement and foster deeper learning; and
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Teacher in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers; and
Intermediate/senior qualifications required in the course subject area Mathematics
A valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Assets :
Experience with Office 365 and Aspen;
An understanding of effective learning teaching, assessment strategies, and differentiation;
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills;
Excellent oral and written communication skills; and
Knowledge of the board approved virtual learning environment (Brightspace or O365 Teams)
