The successful applicant will work in compliance with all relevant and applicable legislation and Hospital Policies and Procedures, will practice the Bluewater Health Standards of Performance Excellence and will fulfill their role within the Attendance Support Program parameters. The successful applicant will also possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and will have strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Organizational Development/Behaviour, Leadership, Education, or Human Resources required
• Qualification in OD tools: Coaching, Emotional Intelligence, DISC or Myers-Briggs, Bridges Transitions preferred

Skill, Ability and Experience:

• Minimum of three years’ recent experience as an OD practitioner required
• Recent experience in a leadership position preferred
• Advanced teaching, facilitation, consulting, coaching, program development and management skills
• Experience with team development using assessment tools and best practice models for high performing teams
• Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking, decision making, conflict resolution, budget management and prioritization skills required
• Experience working in a unionized hospital or similar environment preferred
• Excellent leadership and influencing skills required
• Strong understanding of the Ontario Human Rights Code, The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act and associated equity seeking legislation
• Demonstrated understanding of anti-racism and anti-oppression theories and functional Knowledge of EDII best practices
• Knowledge of Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action
• Intermediate level proficiency using Microsoft Windows Office suite required
• Demonstrated commitment to Patient and Family -Centered Care (PFCC) principles
• Demonstrated experience managing projects while concurrently organizing, planning and coordinating multiple learning and leadership initiatives, involving sensitive and confidential information
• Demonstrated compliance with professional ethical practices, accreditation standards, and applicable legislation
• Skilled in facilitating the process of engagement surveys, analyzing the data, identifying and supporting changes

Principal Duties:

• Involvement / liaison with all levels of management and staff in delivery of Culture and Development services
• Develop exceptional relationships and collaboration with external partners
• Collaborate in the planning, development and evaluation of strategic organizational development activities to meet organizational learning and development needs in support of a culture of kindness and continuous improvement
• Research and recommend evidence based practices in support of corporate initiatives (e.g. talent management, leadership development, succession planning )
• Support managers and subject matter experts with the planning and delivery of learning activities
• Assist in the creation and use of developmental evaluation tools linked to desired performance and results.
• Other related duties as assigned
