Buffalo Trail Public Schools requires a temporary full-time teacher at Dr. Folkins Community School from:
December 2 to December 6, 2024, with a possible extension until December 20, 2024.
Specific Position Details:
Start Date: December 2, 2024
End Date: December 6, 2024 with the possibility of extending until December 20, 2024.
Location: Dr. Folkins Community School, Chauvin, Alberta
Subject Areas: Grade 7-12, CTS Foods, Social 20, Social 9, PE 20/30 and PE 7-9, and additional duties assigned by the principal
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Experience providing differentiated instruction to students in a multi-grade/split classroom
The ability to communicate clearly and positively with secondary students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment
Experience with Alberta secondary Social Studies and Physical Education program of studies
A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Shall be a dynamic student-centered educator committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment
Experience and/or training in the application of Assessment for Learning strategies, embedded formative assessment, and varied summative assessments is essential
Possess a strong background in the use of technology to enhance student learning
Ability to create a positive learning environment and foster positive professional relationships with students
Is dependable with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting
Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and continually increasing their effectiveness as an educator
A willingness to participate in extracurricular activities would be considered an asset
