We are a CWB certified shop and have a number of exciting opportunities on our day and afternoon shifts for Welders. We are a specialized weld shop dealing with high grade material looking for skilled Fitter/Welders to join our team and grow.

About the Position:
A Welder is responsible to fabricate and weld a variety of custom metal projects. Welders are responsible for the welding fabrication of various assemblies.
Hours of Work:
Day Shift: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday) 40 Hours Per Week
Afternoon Shift: 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM (Monday - Thursday) 40 Hours Per Week (Shift Premium Applicable)
What will you be doing:
- Follow all CPF Policies and procedures for safety and execution of work;
- Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that is required to be used or worn;
- Be trained in the appropriate welding procedure and on the appropriate welding machine;
- Ensure weld procedures are present and followed at all times
- Maintain good standing with the CWB holding valid tickets for work being performed
- Work and assist other workers in continuously improving safety;
- Note any problems or potential hazards to the Plant Manager and/or Supervisor that may cause personal injury or property damage, delays in production shipments, or that may affect the quality of manufactured product;
- Able to understand, interpret and follow weld call outs on blueprints ensuring designs are accurately followed
- Responsible for proper use and handling of company, co-workers and personal equipment, machinery, and tools.
- Ensure work area is always kept clean, tidy and safe;
- Ensure that product quality is maintained
- Ensure MSP practices are followed at all times
- Responsible for weld quality, repair, and growth to prevent weld quality issues
- Operate a welding machine in a safe and professional manner.
- Weld any job as assigned by the Plant Manager and/or Supervisor. This may include but is not limited to working at certain heights, working within confined spaces and welding in some areas for a prolonged time period. When welding at certain heights and/or in confined spaces, additional training may be required. The ability to be agile and flexible for welding in any position(s) is required. Welding of various metals may be required.
- Clean own welds with grinders, scrapers, wire brush and/or chipping hammer.
- Routinely review work with the team lead to ensure product quality is at standard requirements
- Maintain a consistent line of communication between themselves, the team lead and/or workers on opposite shifts.
- Be a team player and cooperate and communicate efficiently with the Plant Manager, Supervisors, Team leads and fellow coworkers,
- Perform other duties outside the normal scope of their daily tasks for the betterment of the company.
- Correctly fill in and hand in daily timecards.
- Occasional use of overhead cranes, forklift, ladders and other equipment as per company procedures. No equipment shall be used/operated unless proper training is received and documented.
