THE ROLESince its inception, Hylands Golf Club has matured into a top-quality golf facility that offers a full range of services and amenities to its 1200 members and their guests. A true jewel among Canadian Forces golf facilities, Hylands continues to host numerous regional, national and international events. As part of CFMWS, our mandate is to provide affordable golf to our local military personnel and their families.
As a Bar Supervisor/Administrative Assistant, you will contribute to an excellent customer experience at Hylands Golf Club. You will organize, supervise and schedule the day-to-day bar activities for big events and the everyday moments. You will build a rapport with the military community and be part of various military traditions.
The Bar Supervisor/Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support and a variety of services such as preparing and serving beverages, maintaining inventory of bar stock and ordering supplies and assisting in the set-up and take down of social and military functions. You will operate a Point of Sales system; prepare reports on cash/inventory transactions such as daily sales reports (DSR) and ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations. You will also perform administrative duties such as maintaining member files, preparing and distributing correspondence, and actioning renewals, cancellations and deferrals.
The ideal candidate will have experience working at a golf course including experience with golf management software such as tee reservation and point of sale systems. The candidate should also have experience working with large memberships in a fast paced, client facing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND several years of experience in food & beverage sector, office administration or a related field
AND
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Ontario
Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (Smart Serve)

This unionized position is open to all interested parties. Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement for the UFCW local 175 bargaining unit at CFSG Ottawa-Gatineau.
