THE ROLEUnder the supervision of the Facilities Coordinator, the Grounds Maintenance Worker cleans and ensures sport grounds are safe and serviceable, maintains equipment on a regular basis and performs repairs, as required. They perform daily inspections of sports and recreation facilities and play fields for serviceability and safety. They also mark and chalk sports fields in accordance with specifications required by user groups.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered

Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
Valid Driver’s License
Experience
In grounds maintenance
In indoor and outdoor sports facilities and equipment maintenance

Performs heavy lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. 50 lbs/23 kg or more).
This unionized position is open to all interested parties. Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement for the UFCW local 175 bargaining unit for CFMWS Category I employees at CFB North Bay.
